Betsy Whitleybwhitley@daltonstate.eduDalton State Collegein the NZ, under Customize View, Add the option to display the physical description field (MARC 300) on a search results list.AlmaAlma indexes the following: 300 $b - Other Physical Details, 300 $e - Accompanying Material - emailed Betsy to see if that was sufficient or if additional subfield were needed

Tricia Claytontclayton3@gsu.eduGeorgia StateOnly show institutions in “My Account” feature in Primo where user has items requested or checked out OR make it easy to view all items checked out from all institutions.PrimoSubmitted - This is already on idea exchange, and I know we also submitted this last year (#6363), but I'm for trying again ;)

Tricia Claytontclayton3@gsu.eduGeorgia StateChange it so the display of $e in the author field is separated from the building of the search string when a user clicks on the author link in full record view. Right now if 100 $e is populated ($aTwain, Mark,$eauthor.), when a user clicks on the author link they get a search for "Mark Twain author" instead of "Mark Twain". Results exclude all the records where $e is not populated with "author", which is most of them.PrimoNot submitted - this can be achieved with Enhanced Hypertext Linking - https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Primo/Product_Documentation/Primo/Back_Office_Guide/110Additional_Primo_Features/Enhanced_Hypertext_Linking

Braegan Abernethybabernethy@gsu.eduGeorgia StateAdd additional fields for linking local electronic materials to CZ materialsFor linking a local electronic collection to the Community Zone- provide option(s) in addition to ISSN/ISBN identifier (such as OCLC number) to confirm a match between the local portfolios in the electronic collection being linked with portfolios in the Community Zone.AlmaSubmitted

Guy Frostgfrost@valdosta.eduValdosta State UniversityProvide the ability to "link" local extension access points to the CZ authoritiesMany local extension access points, such as 9XX fields, simultaneously exist as Authorized Access Points in the LC Authority File (in the CZ). It would be nice to have the ability to "link" these Local Extensions to the CZ Authorities to benefit from any of these access points changing (e.g., death dates added)AlmaEmailed Guy to see if Feb release would provide this functionality - https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Product_Documentation/010Alma_Online_Help_(English)/040Resource_Management/040Metadata_Management/040Working_with_Bibliographic_Records/Working_with_Local_Extension_Fields_for_Community_Zone_Records. He responded that this update doesn't quite fit the bill so the enhancement has been submitted

Sean Purcellseanpurc@uga.eduGIL SupportPrevent role/job categories from being added to stub recordsIn Alma, if a patron's user account has a job category set, and they borrow a book from another USG institution, when their stub account is created at the lending institution, roles for that job category are added to the account there. These roles are useles at the lending institution (the account has no password so the user cannot log in), but this impacts (increases) our number of "Named Users", which could impact our Alma licensing.AlmaSubmitted

Guy Frostgfrost@valdosta.eduValdosta State UniversityAbility to relink to a different bibliographic record when there is a process type appliedI would like the ability to relink to a different bibliographic record when there is a Process Type applied to an item. Currently, we have to remove the Process Type before we can relink to a different bibliographic recordAlmaSubmitted

Kara Mullenkmullen@gsu.eduGeorgia StateAllow for sorting for all columns in Alma tables and increase the ability to filterAllow for sorting for all columns in Alma tables and increase the ability to filter. For example, on the Manage Patron Services page it would be helpful to sort or filter the Item Policy column, on the Fine/Fee summary table it would be helpful to sort the Status Date column, and on the Manage Sets table it would be helpful to sort the Creation Date and Created by columns.AlmaSubmitted

Kara Mullenkmullen@gsu.eduGeorgia StateAdd an operator detail for the fines/fee summary tableAdd an operator detail for the fines/fee summary table. When an operator adds a manual credit it does not include operator history so it is impossible to track down details if you need to audit. If payment is accepted or a fine/fee is waived the accepted by column is created but if anything is added manually you do not have operator history available. AlmaSubmitted

Hannah Grant and Emily Williamsewilliams63@gsu.eduGeorgia StateAdd "Location" to the customizable view list on the In Process Items (under Fulfillment) pageAdd “Location” to the customizable view list on the “In Process Items” screen and allow for that information to be exported to Excel. The location should be pulled from the Location Information fields within the item record. If the Temporary Location field is populated, it should be pulled. If not, the information should be pulled from the Permanent Location field. Our institution is in the process of setting up a workflow for missing items. The workflow will be used by multiple campus libraries. As part of the process, staff will need to search the stacks for missing items. Each library has a number of discrete locations – in addition to a “general collection,” so by including location information both in the customizable view and as part of the export to Excel feature, staff will know exactly where they need to look within each library. The item’s call number is currently an important option within the list, but it may provide somewhat limited information. If a library does not use a call number prefix (or other marker) to denote each separate location, it may be difficult to know exactly where to search based solely on the call number. For example, a graphic novel labelled with an LC call number and no prefix would appear to be housed with the library’s general collection, though it’s actually located on another floor. Without the location, staff may be required to either look up each item individually or run an Analytics query to ensure all possible locations have been checked. Both of these options are less efficient and would only serve to complicate the workflow.AlmaSubmitted
